ANALISIS KOMPARATIF: PENGARUH INFORMASI DIGITAL TERHADAP KEPUTUSAN KARIR GENERASI Z ANTARA KERJA REMOTE DAN KONVENSIONAL

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the mindset and work preferences of Generation Z. This study aims to comparatively analyze the influence of digital information on Generation Z's career decisions when choosing between remote and traditional (face-to-face) work. The research method used was a quantitative approach, using an online questionnaire survey distributed to 120 Generation Z respondents in various regions. Data analysis was conducted using linear regression and independent sample t-tests to examine differences in the influence of the two groups on career choices. The results show that digital information, particularly that obtained through professional social media and job search platforms, has a positive and significant influence on Generation Z's career decisions. Respondents who more actively access digital information tend to prefer remote work because it is perceived as more flexible, efficient, and in line with their digital lifestyle. Meanwhile, some respondents still prefer traditional work because they consider stability, direct social interaction, and clearer career development opportunities. In conclusion, digital information plays a significant role in shaping Generation Z's career perceptions and decisions. Therefore, companies and educational institutions are advised to optimize the dissemination of digital-based career information to effectively reach the younger generation.
